The Backstory: With everyone into the smoothie craze these days, it’s hard to know which ones are good for you and which ones are loaded with sugar and extra calories. The good news? You can make delicious smoothies at home and enjoy their health benefits as well as their delicious taste. My recipe below is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, but most of all, it’s full of juicy, sweet flavor. Fresh Fruit Smoothie - Healthy Option

This delicious smoothie is packed with sweet fruit and loaded with vitamins and minerals. It's the perfect breakfast or on-the-go light meal or snack any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized banana (about 4 oz)
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1/4 cup instant skim milk powder
  • 1 medium orange (about 5 oz), peeled, chopped
  • 1/2 cup raw pineapple, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries, unthawed (about 4 oz)
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until smooth.
